For those millennials that have no idea who George Michael is, you might remember him through the James Corden’s carpool karaoke. He was the first one and the one that began it all. Sadly he was found dead Sunday afternoon at 2 pm on Christmas Day. He was lying in bed very peaceful.

His manager stated yesterday to the press: “It is with great sadness that we can confirm our beloved son, brother and friend George passed away peacefully at home over the Christmas period,” his publicist Connie Filippello said in a statement. “The family would ask that their privacy be respected at this difficult and emotional time. There will be no further comment at this stage.” quoted by Time Magazine

George Michael was the pop star of the 80’s and 90’s he sold more than ten million of albums and was well known for his hits ‘Wham‘ and ‘Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go‘. Many of his fans tweeted last night regarding his life.

He also wrote amazing ballads and received a Grammy in 1988 for his song “I Knew You Were Waiting (for Me)” his life will always be remembered.
