Karla Hutch , a mental health worker in Chicago, matched with a guy who we’re going to call Adam. She said Adam seemed kind, and good-looking, and eventually agreed to go out with him for Labor Day. Hutch told BuzzFeed News “I wasn’t that interested in him the entire time which is why it had taken so long,” “But he was so persistent and really nice over text so when he brought up the idea of going on a Labor Day boat ride, it sounded nice, and I thought I’d give him a chance.”
Adam had told Karla his cousin had rented a yacht and was having a party. Due to their conversations, Hutch assumed she was going to be Adam’s date to the party.
But when she got to the boat, there was the problem; she was not the only woman Adam had invited from Tinder. BuzzFeed adds: “I was making conversation with some of the other girls, and I was asking how they knew him, and one of them told me she knew him the same way I had. They’d been talking on Tinder, and this was their first time meeting,”
It felt like a Bachelor boat, and that’s when she started posting pictures and live Facebook videos of her uncomfortable situation. She ended up spending her whole time talking to the other ‘victims.’ At that point Adam came towards her asked what was the problem..? BuzzFeed adds: “I asked him, ‘Is this something that you do? You invite a bunch of girls to hang out and just pick the one you want?’”
After a while, Hutch had enough and decided to plan her escape plan. Another girl in the boat joined her. They started calling other boats for help, and lucky enough the other girl knew someone in the ship.
Kids don’t go tindering; you never know you are going to meet.
