Most of us grew up watching Disney Channel “Lizzie McGuire” religiously after school every day. This show was definitely one of the best things to see on TV during middle school days. Lizzie was seriously my our, and most of us could relate to her so much.

After THIRTY ONE HOURS of transit, we made it to Momignies!! This was taken after our first day of shooting. To finish our travel story… The missing bags were still in London, and they would let us know when they’re in Brussels to be shipped to our hostellerie. Then, we couldn’t find where the Hertz car rental was. Steve and I headed out of the airport, but realized we lost Mike. We went to head back inside, and were stopped by police officers with sub-machine guns from re-entering. It felt like 10 minutes passed by before Mike appears with a bottle of water he stopped to buy. We moved on to look for Hertz, which had no sign posted anywhere. Attempted to ask several people, not much luck with English speakers. We walked to where other rental car services were, and sure enough that’s where it was. At last! Not quite. They gave away our requested automatic wagon that morning due to high demand and “upgraded” us to a Jaguar sports car, which couldn’t fit our equipment. We declined their “thoughtful” gesture, and eventually got a van. We missed a few turns while I figured out the navigation system, but finally got on route to our destination, 2 hours away. By now it was 9:30pm, and we tried town after town to find a place to sell us water and other friendly beverages. The amount of suspicious looks we’d get from locals was hysterical. It was just so obvious we weren’t from around there, and had no business being there haha. Finally we came across “Night Stop”, a late night convenience and liquor store, and got our waters, wine to keep in our rooms, and our first Chimay beers for the road. We got in touch with Rejane, our wonderful hostellerie manager, who prepared our rooms with some sandwiches and another bottle of red wine. Boy did we enjoy those! We were famished but they were on their own absolutely delicious! Got to bed around 12:30am, and up at 6:30am to start the day. Our first day included a lot of learning on everyone’s part, and with the second about to begin we know how to proceed with better storytelling and production quality. Thank you guys for your prayers and good wishesd, we are using every one! #shotdowndoc
It’s safe to say he’s still handsome, so try to keep it together.
Got to hang out with ma boi Julian this morning! He and I are PencilPALS, and have been writing each other back and forth this last school year. He’s graduating from 5th grade on Friday!! He’s nervous but excited. His favorite subject is writing and he likes to write fantasy stories. Looking forward to reading one of your books someday! PencilPALS (Performing Artists for Literacy in Schools) is a program run through SAG-AFTRA to help encourage kids to practice their reading and writing skills.
