Better known as “4 Privet Drive”, the home in Martins Heron, Bracknell was the set for the Dursleys home in the first Harry Potter film.
It was picked in 2001 to be the set in which we would first meet Daniel Radcliffe’s Harry, forced to live under the stairs by cruel Aunt Petunia and Uncle Vernon.
Its current owners have put the house on the market for £475,000 and buyers will get three bedrooms, plenty of living space and a sizable garden for that price. According to the listing, the home is: ‘Situated in a quiet cul-de-sac location, this detached property has recently undergone complete renovation to an extremely high standard.’ It was last sold for £290,000 in May 2010.
In 2013, it’s when the original owner Sandra Smith, pictured below, in front of the new iconic house, put it on the market in the hope of making more than the average £250,000 because of it’s Harry Potter links.
