Critics kept a close eye on J.K. Rowling’s Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them as it reached an epic $180 million budget. There was much speculation about whether the budget was too big for a spin-off of an established franchise.

Well, the numbers are in and Boohoo to its critics because Fantastic Beasts destroyed the foreign box office. Coming off of a BEASTLY opening day, the film is rumored to hit a $200 million Global debut. Looks like Newt Scamander charmed the pants off of everyone overseas!

The film took a first place finish in every territory so far and will open in an additional 38 markets today.

Fans are already pumped for the release and can’t stop tweeting about it. Some are even discussing travel just to catch the first release. We’re jealous that we have to wait a whole day to watch it WTF!
