The same features that have Uber at the forefront of transportation, are reportedly how they can spy on us. The company has been accused of using the “God Feature” in it’s app to track people in the past, but denied all allegations. An ex-employee says otherwise, and that not even Bey is safe.
Former in-house forensic investigator Ward Spangenberg (Wow that’s a mouthful) came out in court blasting user’s lack of security alleging: “…resulting in Uber employees being able to track high-profile politicians, celebrities, and even personal acquaintances of Uber employees, including ex-boyfriends/girlfriends, and ex-spouses.”
When the ex-employee brought up the security breach to the company, he says their response was flimsy at best: “One of the things I was told is, “It’s not a security company.” No one’s location is safe from the nifty GPS tracking in the App, but apparently credit card info is safe.
“It’s not a security company.”
Would you guys pay an uber driver to track an Ex?
