Marion Cotillard, the well known french actress who has been honored with an Oscar win for her interpretation of Édith Piaf on the La Vie en rose and a Golden Globe nominations for her outstanding acting, was again in the loop, but this time not so much for her performance but due to the whole Brangelina drama.
On the latest interview, she had with the Huffington Post; she clarified that her most recent film in whom Brad Pitt acts as her partner, has nothing to do with Mr. and Mrs. Smith. They also tried to compare it with Inglorious Bastard. Another production in which both actors were part off and she answers: ” ‘Allied’ has a sense of an entertaining movie, but at the same time there’s a depth of feelings, and Brad Pitt’s character goes deep into emotions and what he delivers. It’s really strong emotionally, and I think he’s really amazing in all those very powerful emotional scenes, and that was not an aspect of the two movies you mentioned,”
Cottilard confessed that she felt in love with her character and the movie itself when she read the script. For those that haven’t had a chance to read the reviews is a love story settled in 1942 between a French Resistance fighter and intelligence officer. She adds: “I was drawn to play a powerful character and powerful woman who takes responsibility. I just totally fell in love with the story and the character.” Huffington Post
