The former President- Elect Barack Obama, has left the building and the tweets for his farewell haven’t stopped for one second. Last night in Chicago at 9 pm surrounded by his staff and wife Michelle, he gave his last words.

He thanked his wife for all the support during the long years, and also his staff for being unconditional with him. He was quoted:“For the past twenty-five years, you’ve been not only my wife and mother of my children, but my best friend. You took on a role you didn’t ask for and made it your own with grace and grit and style and good humor,” The Guardian

Obama spoke about the importance of climate change, being an active voter, Obamacare, Immigration and the importance of having faith in the country. He adds: “I am asking you to hold fast to that faith written into our founding documents; that idea whispered by slaves and abolitionists; that spirit sung by immigrants and homesteaders and those who marched for justice;” The Guardian
Obama, expectedly, is using this speech to lay out his legacy: mentions gay marriage, Osma bin Laden, and of course ACA.

Celebs responded with tweets, of his farewell, and how we would be missed by everyone:
@barackobama Thank you for your incredible grace in leadership and for being an exceptional example for us all. You’ve made many who were sleeping, conscious – including myself. I agree with you; we need to burst our bubbles and build real community again, face to face. I am excited to see the generation coming up who as you said, are “Unselfish, altruistic, creative, patriotic and believe in a fair, just, inclusive America.” I cannot wait to see good triumph. ??????????
Will you miss Obama?
