IT’S HERE! Netflix released The Gilmore Girls revival “A year in the life” today, November 25th. Fans got an update on the life of Lorelai (Lauren Graham), Rory (Alexis Bledel) and the whole Stars Hollow gang almost a decade since its debut.

The show addressed the real-life death of Edward Herrmann, who played Lorelai’s father, Richard, with a flashback to a funeral scene when Lorelai and Rory went to visit Emily (Kelly Bishop). Lorelai still has no filter and managed to piss off her mom Emily, of course.
Rory’s career exploded from where fans left off. She even had a piece published in The New Yorker and an exciting meeting with Condé Nast. She’s all grown up and tells her mother: “This is my time to be rootless and see where life takes me.”, who in perfect Gilmore Girls fashion, supports her daughter unconditionally…Sigh*.
The greatest surprise yet is Lorelai and her now live-in Boyfriend Luke! The original show followed their romance’s ups and downs (too many downs in our humble opinion) and fans can happily watch their love story continue to unfold. Spoiler alert: Is there a baby on the way?
Rory’s love life is another story. Rory’s ‘new’ boyfriend, Paul (Jack Carpenter), attended a home-cooked dinner with the fam. Despite meeting him before no one remembered him and, Lorelai claimed it was his super power (spoiler: that’s not gonna last). The show lives up to its past so far despite putting a Kale salad on the diner’s menu, WTF?
This is just a recap of the first episode!?? Are you guys Binge watching the show?
